Smoker is also overrated - constantly being stressed and annoyed and needing lighters all the time, and then getting depressed, with no way to beat the addiction, at the expense of always needing to stockpile two different kinds of items (lighters/cigarettes). Thin Skinned used to be an easy choice, but now it significantly increases your chance of nicking yourself on trees and foliage, which can be annoying. Some of the suggestions here are only "easy points" in single player, where time is negligible, so keep that in mind.įor multiplayer, Slow Healer, High Thirst/Hunger, Restless Sleeper (if sleep is enabled in MP), weak stomach, prone to illness, are all easily negligible. Personally, I always thought the idea was to keep negative traits to a minimum, but I'm starting to realize that this is not necessarily the case. I watched a youtube video on this yesterday, and was amazed at how many negative traits the guy took. I know there is no "cookie cutter" build in this game, and a lot of it comes down to personal preference, but one thing I'm really struggling with is the perks system and finding the right balance. We all constantly die, but are enjoying the process of learning what we are doing wrong. My buddies and I started playing multiplayer recently, and are having a blast.
